Jason Licht hails from a quaint town nestled in the heart of western Pennsylvania. Growing up, he was always on the lookout for an escape from the monotony of small-town life, and found solace in the enchanting realms of fantasy and science fiction. Those captivating stories became his refuge.

It wasn't until later, thanks to some persuasive friends and a newfound interest in anime, that he ventured into the world of art. This initial step paved the way for a transformative journey.

He pursued his passion for the arts by enrolling at the University of the Arts, where he earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Illustration. However, his path through university wasn't without its challenges. While he was resolute in his artistic goals, he found himself at odds with the ideas put forth by his professors and struggled to find his own artistic voice.

After graduating, life led him to South Korea, where he embarked on a new adventure as a teacher. With a growing family to support, he found himself circling back to the world of art. This time, it was a journey of self-reinvention. He started from scratch, immersing himself in the works of golden-age illustrators and learning from educational resources spanning the globe.

Upon his return to the United States, he pursued a Master's in Art Education at Boston University. This pivotal experience not only deepened his appreciation for the arts but also solidified his artistic identity. It was here that he finally discovered his unique voice and artistic perspective.

With newfound clarity and purpose, he founded his own illustration company, where he channels his passion into crafting emblems, books, and illustrations for his valued clients. His artistic journey has been marked by evolution and growth, and he continues pushing the boundaries of creativity in the world of illustration.
